A new play area has just opened on the Saxon Gate development in Marlene Croft, Chelmsley Wood.  A collection of 57 new homes have been built on the former Coleshill Heath School site along with a 51 unit state of the art assisted living facility.  The play area, which completes the whole development, opened in July 2019 and is already very well used by local children and families visiting residents in the care home.  The park has been built on a natural theme with all wooden play equipment, paths and landscaping and includes a basket swing, climbing pyramid, aerial ropeway, trail & climbing system, angled balance beam, horizontal climbing net, giraffe carousel and a seesaw.
