Work on the new £3m Chelmund’s Cross Health Centre is well underway.
The health centre will be the new location for the existing Chelmund’s Cross GP surgery, alongside a brand new pharmacy and home to the local dentist’s surgery. The dentist’s old building will be demolished to make way for the last element of the village centre which is hoped to be an assisted living/residential scheme.

A former Mayor of Solihull has been immortalised in the North of the borough with a new road being named in honour of him.
For over 50 years Eric Collins served the West Midlands as a public servant after starting his political career shortly after the war in 1947.

Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council approved plans for the development in April and the first homes will be released for sale in August.
The North Solihull Partnership, who are responsible for the development, will also fund 64 affordable rented homes for local people, invest a total of £100,000 in an all-weather sports facility, pay for improvements at the nearby Meriden Park, create a landscaped green area within the homes and pay £178,000 towards a new drainage system.

The North Solihull Partnership is advising local people that Solihull Council is consulting on its proposal to dispose of a remaining 0.5 hectare area of land that had been used as a sports pitch at the former Bishop Wilson Church of England primary school site.

The new £10m Bishop Wilson Church of England Primary School threw open its doors for the first time on Friday 6th September 2013. The school is the latest addition to the North Solihull School improvement programme as well as forming a key element in the North Solihull Partnership's social and economic regeneration of Chelmund's Cross Village Centre
