Work has begun to demolish the old shops and gym at Arran Way.   Letters have been delivered to local people and businesses informing them of the works.

Bellway Homes will be building 51 homes on the site, which will be called Alderbrook.  These homes will consist of 21 affordable and 30 private 2 and 3 bedroom dwellings.  There will be 39 houses and 12 apartments with associated parking and landscaping.

This development was the subject of extensive public consultation in September 2014 and planning approval was granted in March 2015.
